City Poem

This entry is a city poem in a fictional dystopian society

Dystopia

I stand here looking out around the corner

The lights flicker and flash but we know what’s going on

People scream at the top of their lungs hoping someone would hear it

Little did they know people were to afraid to do anything outside their front lawn

I walk to my rundown apartment

Hoping nothing will happen to my along the way

I see homeless people lying on the ground

Yet I have nothing to pay

I walk and walk along the road

Hoping nobody stares

In this dystopian society

Nobody really cares
